Bendale is often referred to as Cadarbrae. The Bendale neighbourhood is to the east part of the city of Toronto, Canada. The neighbourhood is known as Scarborough which is also the local municipality. The name Bendale only came into being in 1881, with the original name of the place being Benlomond. It became urbanized by the 1950s. This area is rich in ethnicity but the greatest population is of Asian origin. Ben Jungle is a section of Bendale that has all the names starting with Ben such as:

The area has seven elementary schools, two public high schools, a centennial college and a university, the University of Toronto.
